Booost updates
Features, fixes & improvements.
We’ve given Booost an update for the start of the new academic year. Our Wellbeing section has been renamed to become Support, alongside a huge update to the look and content of Booost's Learner Resources.
All Learner Resources have been refreshed and improved, with 40 new guides written by experts, and audio and video content being added and updated. Search guides from our new topics Study Skills, Productivity, Wellbeing, or check out Toolkits, making it easier to find the information you need when you need it.
We have improved accessibility options, so you can alter colour, size, font, contrast and more, to make the reading environment suit you. We've also increased the number of options available for services to contact when you need support, including websites for support and information, and crisis services with a variety of access methods.

We’ve added new features and improved Booost, making it easier for you to keep track of where you need to be and what you need to do.
You can now bring multiple calendars into Booost, and if the original calendar is updated, you’ll see the changes in Booost almost instantly. This gives you better control over optimising your events, increasing the flexibility of your event management, and is great for short-notice lecture changes! You can now also reorder your checklists to organise your to-do list how you want.
We’ve fixed a couple of bugs reported to us by users, including one that affected the timings of imported events, notifications not being issued, and slow loading times within the calendar.
Added checklist reordering - you can now change the order of your to-do list to suit how you want to do things.
Added multiple calendars - you can now have more than one calendar in Booost, opening up options to have academic, personal, and work calendars all in one place.
Added calendar sync - if something is changed within your external calendar, your events within Booost will automatically be updated.
Added a marker to show which events are from external calendars.
Added calendar disconnect - if you no longer wish to see an external calendar, you can disconnect it in one tap and choose if previous events are kept.
Improved loading times when viewing your calendar.
Fixed an issue that affected the timing of imported events.
Fixed deleting checklist items no longer redirects to the home screen.
Fixed checklist items for lesson event types now don’t include any rogue suggestions.
Fixed the help guides in the resource section so that they no longer have large gaps between paragraphs.
Fixed an issue that caused freezing within the calendar.

Various UI improvements throughout
We’ve made using Booost’s calendar even easier: you can now import events from any public calendar that you might use already - Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud, to name a few. There’s also now the option to jump back to ‘Today’ when viewing a different date on your Booost calendar, and two-step deletion when removing a task or event to be sure that was your intention. Plus, lots of other little fixes and improvements throughout the app.
Added timetable import - import from any public calendar (instructions included for Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud and Google Calendar)
Added Back to Today button - when you jump to a different date in the calendar, you can now tap the ‘Today’ icon to go back to the current day
Added two-step deletion - when you delete a task or event, the app will now check that was your intention first
Added a wider choice of icons for all events
Improved article accessibility - pinch to zoom in on support articles, or press and hold to select text (useful for 3rd party text-to-speech)
Improved notifications - local notifications now include more information
Improved checklist items display - in the list view, checklist items now automatically expand to show the full content, and more text is shown in the carousel view
Fixed an issue that blocked local notifications for some users
Fixed issue that allowed you to Booost times that had already passed
Fixed rogue colour options for task and event cards, which made content unreadable
Fixed an issue that stopped icons for events from displaying
